News of the death of Mrs. Lyda Hartley, wife of Ora Hartley, formerly of this city, which occurred at Chicago from cancer, was received yesterday by the friends of the deceased. Mrs. B. T. Smith of this city was with Mrs. Hartley in Chicago. While Mr. and Mrs. Hartley resided here only a short time they gained a host of friends in Brazil, and she was an unusually popular woman. Members of the William Black Chapter, Order of Eastern Star No 80 will attend the funeral, which will be held at 2 o’clock Sunday at Crawfordsville. All members who find it possible to attend are requested to call the worthy matron. - kim h
